Veneer species

Bamboo

Bamboo

Origin:

East Asia

Color:

Light to pale brown, tends to darken

Characteristics:

The so-called nodes, the knots in bamboo, give the wood its unmistakable texture.

Application:

A particularly ecological, fast-growing raw material: this wood, which is used in South and East Asia primarily for building houses and bridges, scaffolding, etc., is becoming more and more popular in the west for parquet, kitchen furniture and interior finishing.

This newcomer to the range of wood brings a touch of the Asian way of life and an exotic feel to rooms. For the Japanese, it is a symbol of soft melancholy.
