Origin:

Normally grows in the ground at the roots of California redwood trees.

Color:

Deep red

Characteristics:

There is a strongly grained root and the bird's eye grain, which have a pattern of eye-shaped granules.

Application:

High-quality interior finishing: furniture, turning work, office furnishings, automobile and aircraft interiors. Vavona burl is the only softwood that is used to a great extent for decorative purposes.
