South Asia (India to Indochina and Java)

Color:

The heartwood if yellow, later light to dark brown

Characteristics:

Vividly striped with black veins. Distinct marks of spring wood pores.

Application:

One of the oldest types of lumber. Teak is primarily used in shipbuilding and as high-quality furniture wood for interior finishing and series-produced furniture.
