Origin:

Wet locations in the evergreen forests of Africa (Eastern Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana)

Color:

Light, pale pink to yellowish sapwood which strongly differs from the pale reddish brown to dark crimson-brown heartwood.

Characteristics:

Very often popular in the veneer industry for its striped pattern owing to alternating spiral growth

Application:

Sliced veneer for the furniture industry (bedroom furniture), but also for doors.
